Tigers Lose Seventh Straight – Monday Sports Wrap

The Tigers dropped their seventh straight game yesterday, falling to the White Sox 5-3. Tyler Alexander gave up three runs over five innings, and took the loss. Harold Castro homered.

The Tigers play a straight doubleheader at Cleveland today. The second game is a makeup for a rainout on July 17. Drew Hutchison will start against Aaron Civale in the opener. Bryan Garcia will pitch against Xzavion Curry in the nightcap. Coverage begins at 2:50 on 99.3 The Lift.

The Cardinals scored four runs in the bottom of the eighth inning, and downed the Brewers 6-3 yesterday. Taylor Rogers was charged with all four eighth-inning runs, and took the loss. Starter Aaron Ashby allowed two runs over six frames. Hunter Renfroe and Rowdy Tellez homered.

The Brewers host the Dodgers tonight. Freddy Peralta will pitch against Julio Urías.
